If you are looking for something to do while you are on winter break, it can be fun to make some of these treats! Here are 9 treats to make during the holiday season.

Item #1: Candy Cane Bark (easy)

Candy cane bark is a fun treat to make that isn’t super time consuming. For this treat, you will need white chocolate and crushed peppermint. First, melt the white chocolate, after this, stir in your crushed peppermint. Let this mixture chill until it can be broken apart, and you are done!

Item #2: Tootsie Roll Manora (easy)

This treat is fun because you can get as creative as you want with it, and there is really no way you can mess it up. All you will need is tootsie rolls, and you stick them together according to what you want your menorah looks like. (Tip: the tootsie rolls should stick together pretty easily. If not, melt a little bit and then wait for the tootsie’s to dry.)

Item #3: Christmas White Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods (very easy)

If you are looking for an easy treat to make that does not take a whole lot of ingredients, this one is for you! All you will need are pretzel rods, chocolate of choice, and sprinkles (or another small topping). First, take your chocolate and melt it. Once this is done take your pretzel rods and dip them in the chocolate. While they are wet, put your sprinkles or small topping of choice over top of that. Then, let them chill until hardened and you are done!

Item #4: Santa Hat Cupcakes (easy)

This treat is based a lot around your preferences, for instance, you can make the cupcakes any flavor you enjoy the most. The big thing you will need is a cupcake and frosting. Use vanilla frosting to ice the cupcake and then, using a piping bag and some red food coloring, you can start to make a small Santa hat out of frosting.

Item #5: Hot chocolate Brownie Cups (more time consuming)

For this treat you will need, some mini brownies, mini marshmallows, chocolate sauce (optional), and sprinkles (optional). Take your mini brownie, and using a spoon or butter knife, begin to hollow it out. Make sure the bottom and sides of the brownie are still thick and sturdy enough. Then, take your mini marshmallows and begin to melt them until they are chunky and sticky, but still somewhat resemble marshmallows. After this, put the marshmallows into the hollowed out brownie and add your toppings of chocolate sauce or sprinkles, whatever you prefer.

Item #6: Rice Krispy Treat Ornaments (easy)

For this treat, you will need marshmallows, butter, rice krispy cereal, and food coloring. To make your rice krispy treats, add butter to a large pan and then, add in your marshmallows. After this, add your rice krispy cereal. When all of this is mixed together, add in your food coloring depending on how you want your “ornaments” to look. Let cool until it’s a little bit sticky, then, mold the treats into little balls and you have your ornaments.

Item #7: Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Reindeer (easy)

For this treat you will need marshmallows, chocolate, hot tamales, and white sprinkles. First, melt your chocolate and cover the marshmallows in the melted chocolate. Then, while still a little wet, decorate your reindeer with your white sprinkles as eyes, and your hot tamales as a nose. Then, break off a part of your pretzel to make antlers and stick them on top of the marshmallow. Let cool and you are done!

Item #8: Candy Cane Marshmallow pops (easy)

For these easy and cute treats, you will need candy canes, chocolate, and marshmallows. First, take your marshmallow and candy cane, and stick the marshmallow onto the candy cane. Then, melt your chocolate and dip the marshmallow into the chocolate. Then (optional), you can crush a candy cane and use the little bits as sprinkles to go on top of the chocolate. This is easy and yummy!

Item #9: Peppermint Shortcake Squares (harder)

These cute and delicious treats are also relatively easy to make. You will need strawberries, chocolate, oreos, sprinkles, and frosting. First, make your chocolate covered strawberries. Cut the leaves off of the top of the strawberry, then melt the chocolate and dip the strawberries into it. Then, take one of your oreos and spread a thin layer of frosting on the top. Stick your chocolate covered strawberry on the oreo and add your sprinkles. (optional)
