The average America listens up to 4 hours of music daily.  Make sure you keep up with what’s trending, in order to be hip and cool with your whole school.

1. “Despacito” By Luis Fonsi

According to Songfact.com, “Despacito” is about a relationship between Luis Fonsi and a love interest.  Even though the song is in Spanish the U.S still enjoys it because of the upbeat rhythm.  

2. “That’s What I Like” By Bruno Mars

The song “That’s What I Like,” is about the things that Bruno Mars likes.  The song’s lyrics say  things that are luxurious and will impress a girl.  It also says how he is going to treat his partner right.  Lyrics like “you deserve it baby, you deserve it all and I’m gonna give it to you,”  show that he would treat his partner right.

3. “I’m The One” By Dj Khaled

“I’m the One” is about a group of artist bragging to their significant others that they are the only ones they need.  This song was one of the biggest collaborations this year, with Chance the rapper, Quavo, Lil Wayne, and Justin Bieber.  

4. “Shape of You” By Ed Sheeran

“Shape of You” is about Ed Sheeran’s love interest and how Ed Sheeran and his love interest  met. According to songfacts.com he and his love interest were childhood sweethearts that were meant to be.

5. “Humble” By Kendrick Lamar

“Humble” is about how other rappers should be more humble and respectful of where they are right now.  It also explains how Kendrick Lamar does no need any substance to write a good song.

6. “Mask Off” By Future

“Mask Off” is about how the artist Future talks about his previous drug addiction.  He overcame his addiction by focusing on music.  In the song, he also encourages other artists to open up to the audience.  A fun fact about this song is that Future uses an old song called “Prison Song,” which he slowed down to add a simple beat.  

7. “Something Just Like This” By The Chainsmokers

According to The Chainsmokers “Something Just Like This,” love does not have to be perfect, it just has to be a love that everyone deserves.  It was a big collaboration with the British band, Coldplay.
